Texas Sport for Life News, we are a for-profit, social enterprise aimed at leading a statewide movement to develop and improve the fundamental movement skills and sports-specific athletic skills of all Texas youth athletes. We believe kids who properly develop their fundamental movement skills (FMS) and fundamental sport skills (FSS) are able to perform more confidently, competently and with more control in all sport and non-sport physical activities. Kids who learn and develop skills through participation in sports are better able read and understand a wide range of games rather than simply a single game (that is, they are more 'games literate'.) Kids with higher skill competence are more likely to participate in sports and recreational activities over a longer period of their lives. |
